Ibadah Digital Yang Efektif Bagi Gereja Toraja: Sebuah Tinjauan Teologis Mengenai Ibadah Dalam Perjanjian Lama Sebuah Tinjauan Teologis mengenai Ibadah dalam Perjanjian Lama

Abstract

Digital worship has begun, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic. There are various views on digital worship, including among members of the Toraja Church, which show that digital worship is less effective. To realize a more effective digital worship, it is necessary to analyze the worship itself. For this reason, the author uses the research and development (R n D) method. In the preliminary study, the writer analyzed the worship specifically in the Old Testament which later the writer found that in Christian worship one must express a response to God's initiative, the reading, and preaching of God's Word, a holy time and place. The awareness that digital worship is carried out as a response (anabatic) to God's initiative (katabatic) is expressed by offering the entire totality of life voluntarily to God. Thoughts, time, concentration, etc. in digital worship must be dedicated to God. The reading and preaching of God's Word must be done with the awareness that it is reminiscent of the Katabatic aspect which is especially central to the Toraja church. As part of the Toraja Church, digital worship must be carried out by taking into account the time and place that have been consecrated together as members of the Toraja Church.
